Reading and homework

Here are some pictures of our grade 7/8 class reading with our French buddies.  We practiced reading books with expression and then shared the stories with our young friends.  Students also recorded their reading so that the littles can access the stories through our school files and hear the stories again.  Several students were generous and excited to share their recorded stories with our other French immersion classes.  Thank you for your participation 7/8B.  This shows how you value your French.  Those who are sharing their recordings will receive additional marks for doing so.  You are being role models as you share your French ability with other learners!

Our grade 7/8 students are also encouraged to access French songs, movies, videos or books while at home to work toward their valorization mark.  Another way to practice skills from home is to log in to their mathletics account and work on the current math unit practice questions.  Students are also practicing one grammar concept per week.  The grammar games are done each Friday and students should practice before then.  This week is the verb tense Passé composé.
